Holiday in Bangkok

From Krabi Island, I took Thai Air Asia to Bangkok to meet up with my friend Kevin .. By the time we reached Bangkok, it was already dark .. Me and my friend were exhausted .. We took the airport bus for a fare of 150Bht each to Khao San Road which is the most happening street in Bangkok and is a backpackers haven there ..

So we dropped off at Khao San Road and we went to Sawadee Inn .. We got a double bed room for 800Bht/night which was quite expensive .. But we were already too tired to look for other inn so we grab this room .. reluctantly ..

Khao San Road

See the crowd

The next day we checked out and move to another cheaper inn .. This time we stayed in a dormitory style room for 200 Bht/night which was very cheap .. But .. The room has no tv and no blanket, no nothing .. And to make matter worse .. The bed is as hard as a rock .. Budget traveller what to do ..

Cute doggy at the inn

There is always a funny thing about Thai people towards English .. When they speak English, very funny because of their thick Thai accent .. When they write, its even more funny .. Take a look at the menu down here ..

Suppose to be fried not freied, beansprouts not beensprouts

This no spelling problem but .. See how they categorized the noodles

Backstreets of Bangkok

We sat a "tuk-tuk" to town for a whooping 300 Bht .. I rather take taxi than the stupid "tuk-tuk" ..

We reached Siam Paragon, one of the posh shopping malls in Bangkok ..

Our train "tickets"

In Bangkok, one of my favorite dish is their Duck Glass Noodle Soup with extra chili powder .. Yummy .. By the time I finished it, I was already sweating all over ..

We went shopping at one of my favorite malls in Bangkok, MBK Mall ..
You can get cheap cheap stuffs over here ..

In taxi waiting patiently as stuck in Bangkok traffic jam

My last meal in Bangkok .. Japanese set lunch for just 100Bht

Central World

Finally, we decided to go home before the New Year's mad rush .. But .. Sadly the train tickets were sold out .. When got tickets? After January 1st .. Die .. So in the end, we took the bus home from BANGKOK until KUALA LUMPUR .. Imagine that ..

Train station

We took the bus from Bangkok to Surat Thani .. From there we took a van all the way to Hatyai .. From Hatyai we took another van to the Thai-Malaysia border .. From the border, we took a van to Nibong Tebal bus station to catch a bus home to Kuala Lumpur .. It took us 2 days to reach Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok .. Imagine how long we traveled just to get home .. It was a life experienced moment .. People think we are crazy ..
